There’s no need to be nervous on your first visit to South Orange Chiropractic. Our first and primary goal is to help you feel better, so you can relax and feel confident that you’re taking the first step towards not only relieving your pain, but improving your overall health and wellness. And you’ll be doing it naturally, without drugs or surgery. Your work may be suffering. You may not be able to exercise. Even the simple things you ordinarily do to relax and have fun might not be as enjoyable as they used to be. |
Before your appointment, you’ll have an opportunity to fill out intake forms to give our office an early idea of the purpose of your visit, as well as your patient details. We’ll either send you the forms when you schedule your appointment, or you can download them from our Patient Center. If you know the source of your pain or injury, now is the time to let us know – but if you don’t know, don’t worry. Our doctors have the experience and knowledge to uncover the source of your problem, even if you aren’t quite sure what it is.
Your first appointment will begin with a thorough, one-on-one consultation with a DC (Doctor of Chiropractic). You’ll discuss your symptoms in depth, and the Doctor will let you know what types of treatment might be available to you. For diagnostic purposes, he will then conduct a full neurological, chiropractic and orthopedic exam. This includes digital X-rays of the appropriate areas as well as a thermal scan of your spine.
Before you leave, you will be given at-home care instructions to begin easing your symptoms immediately while you wait for the more detailed exam results. We will most likely also schedule a follow-up appointment to go over your test results in detail and plan the most effective course of action to fully address the root cause of your symptoms and restore you to optimal health.
